The Street Corner Homicide Investigation Series is a multi-volume series focusing on the challenges surrounding the “spontaneous homicide”, characterized by poor witness cooperation, unclear motive, and lack of physical evidence. Though far too common in our communities, until now, no training existed to address the issues investigators must navigate in these types of incidents.
Scott S. Heath retired as a Captain of Detectives with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office in Paterson, New Jersey, serving in both the Major Crimes and White Collar Crime Divisions. He developed expertise in the areas of homicide, interrogation, courtroom testimony, internal affairs and police use of force.
